Good Friends

April 20th, 2008 by Rainey

Who knew that a couple of hours of adult conversation could restore small parts of your soul that a string of sleepless nights had slowly eroded away?
We are so lucky to have such great friends here. Friends our age. Friends who have three kids and are fifteen years older than us. Friends who could be our parents.
Friends who hold our baby when our arms and our spirits are too heavy to lift him for a while. Friends who make us meals and then send us home with food. Friends who make us laugh and let us be normal when so much of my job means being more than normal or better than normal. Friends who just let us be ourselves and love us.
What would we do without them?
